Measure the card and the place you carry it
Course scorecards differ. Measure the height and width of the card you actually use, including any fold you need to make, and compare those measurements with the usable inside of the holder. Ask the maker or seller for the internal card dimensions if they are missing; exterior dimensions alone do not show how much room the card has.
For pocket carry, compare the closed holder's height, width and thickness with the opening and depth of your own pocket. If it will go in a bag, check that pocket's opening and available space too. Leave room for any other items you normally carry. A general claim that a holder fits a back pocket does not confirm yours.
For broader bag organization, see our guide to arranging a 14-way golf bag.
Check card retention, closure and the pencil
Look at how the exact holder secures the card and whether you can open it to write without removing the card. Check the position of any bands or pockets against the part of your card you need to see. If a closure matters to you, confirm whether the holder has one and how it works; a pencil loop or card-retaining band is not necessarily a closure for the whole holder.
Check that your usual pencil or pen fits the loop and whether one is included. Do not assume the supplied card at a course will fit simply because the product is called a scorecard holder.
Plan for wet weather separately
A cover can keep a card together and provide a writing surface, but a cover description alone does not establish a waterproof seal or a tested rain rating. Look for the exact product's stated protection and care instructions. If keeping the card dry is essential and that protection is not specified, consider a separate protective pouch appropriate to your conditions, or ask the maker.
We did not test rain exposure or drying performance, so we cannot promise that a particular cover or pocket will keep a scorecard dry.
One option: Callaway Scorecard Holder
Callaway TAG describes the C40104 Scorecard Holder as a synthetic cover with an elastic pencil loop and a writing surface, and says it accommodates most standard scorecards. The selected Amazon listing is for one black synthetic holder, part CALC40104; it says the scorecard is not included. Pencil inclusion is not established.
The available listing dimensions are inconsistent or unclear about what was measured. Ask the seller for usable card space and closed dimensions before ordering. The maker does not give a waterproof rating on its product page; do not treat its general protection description as a rain-test result.
See Callaway TAG’s official product page and images to check its design; confirm dimensions with the seller.
When to choose it or keep what you have
Consider this holder if you want its pencil loop and writing surface and can confirm that your card and carrying pocket fit. Skip it if those dimensions remain uncertain, if you need verified wet-weather protection, or if the holder or dry storage you already use serves you.
Check the selected black synthetic variant, seller, delivered total and return terms before ordering. We have not purchased or physically tested the holder, its fit or its weather performance.

Will this holder fit my course scorecard?
That is not established. Measure your card as folded and ask the seller for the holder's usable internal dimensions before ordering.
Is the Callaway holder waterproof?
The maker page does not state a waterproof rating, and we did not test it in rain. Ask the maker or choose separately verified protection if dry storage is essential.
Does the selected holder include a scorecard and pencil?
The selected Amazon listing says a scorecard is not included. Pencil inclusion is not established, although the maker describes a pencil loop.
Do I need to buy a holder?
No. Keep using your current holder or another convenient dry storage option if it already meets your needs.
