Count the labels you will actually use

Direct Impact lists a 200-label combo with 100 driver and 100 iron labels. That even split suits a golfer who expects to use both club types; it can leave half the pack idle if practice is almost entirely with one. Count labels by type, not just the total on the package.

The same maker lists 100-label driver-only and 100-label iron-only packs, and a larger combo with 200 of each, or 400 total. Those examples show why two totals can mean very different quantities for the clubs you use. Compare the exact listing and delivered total before ordering; availability and seller can change.

Check the face and the finish

Direct Impact describes separate driver and iron label shapes. Its FAQ says both are designed for right- and left-handed clubs, and its instructions say to center the target graphic on the clubface. Those statements do not give the label dimensions or prove a fit on every head.

Look at the shape and usable area of your own face and request the label dimensions if they matter. The checked maker sources do not identify compatibility for every coating or finish. If the finish is damaged, unusual, or uncertain, ask the club or tape maker before applying an adhesive; skip the pack if you cannot establish that it is suitable.

Apply and remove according to the maker

Direct Impact says to start with a clean, dry face, align the center of the label with the face center, and replace the label when the newest impact is no longer distinguishable. Its guide suggests about six to eight shots per label, a manufacturer estimate rather than a tested service life.

For removal, the guide says to lift a corner. The company claims clean removal, but we have not tested adhesive residue or finish effects. Follow instructions for the exact club and label; do not assume one product or cleaning method is suitable for all surfaces.

Choose, skip, or wait

Consider the 100-driver-plus-100-iron combo if you want both types and accept the unanswered dimension and finish questions. Check that the selected offer is the 200-label combo, and review the seller, shipping, and return terms. The manufacturer’s product page shows its own model photographs; the illustration in this guide is conceptual.

Skip this combo if you need only one club category, require documented dimensions or finish compatibility first, or cannot see a suitable offer for your location. If a few occasional face checks are all you need, use the practice tools you already have or ask a teaching professional before buying a large pack.

Keep impact tape for practice

The R&A equipment interpretation says tape or similar material added to a clubface is not permitted. Remove the label before making a stroke in a rules-governed round; if the status of your equipment or event is unclear, ask the committee. Do not rely on a product listing’s marketing to establish a rules exception.

An impact label also does not make a home setup safe. Check your practice area and follow the instructions for your net and other equipment. Our net-inspection guide covers wear and stop points. If you cannot establish a suitable setup, use a practice facility.

How many labels are in the Direct Impact combo?

The maker lists 100 driver and 100 iron labels, for 200 total. Check the exact selected listing before ordering.

Will the labels fit a left-handed club?

Direct Impact says its driver and iron labels are designed for both right- and left-handed clubs. Exact dimensions and compatibility with every face and finish were not established.

How long does one label last?

The maker suggests six to eight shots and says to change it when the latest mark is hard to distinguish. We did not test how long a label lasts.

Can I leave the tape on during a rules-governed round?

Remove it before making a rules-governed stroke. The R&A says tape on the clubface is not permitted; ask the event committee if unsure.
