Golf Club Cleaning Brushes: Compare Bristles, Reach and Carry

Choose a brush by bristle material, useful access and attachment—not a damage-free promise. Check your exact clubmaker’s care guidance and keep a suitable soft brush and towel if they already work.

Match the bristles to your clubs

Start with the surfaces you need to clean and instructions for those exact clubs. Finishes and materials differ, so a brush is not a universal safe-cleaning method.

Titleist's Club Care 101 is an older, 2017 staff discussion. For AP1/AP2 multi-material irons and metalwoods, staff described a damp cloth and soft or plastic-bristle brush rather than soaking. The Vokey specialist recommended a medium-soft brush and cautioned that harsh chemicals or abrasive rust removal can alter finishes. These are named-model examples, not a prescription for every current club. Follow your own clubmaker's current instructions.

Callaway lists nylon bristles and an ergonomic handle for the Mini-Mag. Those are concrete features to compare with your needs; we have not tested whether it avoids scratches on any finish.

Judge reach without guessing dimensions

Useful reach depends on the brush head, handle, club shape and how you hold it. The manufacturer page does not supply exact brush dimensions. Amazon's item and package measurements differ, so neither is used as a brush-size or reach claim here.

Identify which areas your existing brush cannot access comfortably. If a particular size is essential, request actual head and handle measurements from the maker before buying. A larger product photograph is not proof of greater reach.

In its named metalwood care example, Titleist specifically cautioned against sharp tools around ARC channels and sole features because of damage risks to paint, PVD or the plug/head bond. That is not an instruction to sharpen grooves. Follow the instructions for the actual surface you are cleaning.

Compare bag access and carry

Callaway describes a quick-release magnetic connection and carabiner attachment to a golf bag or belt loop. The verified Amazon child B0CT42VNBF selects Black, model C99322, with one brush. It is not the different Zinger or water-spray brush.

With your bag stationary, consider where the clip would go, whether the attachment point accepts it, and whether you could remove and return the brush without reaching awkwardly around other gear. These are questions to check in your setup, not results from our retention test. We have not tested the magnet or clip under movement.

Compare the selected model, seller, condition, delivered total and return terms before checkout. This page does not display a current price or promise stock, shipping or warranty coverage.

Buy, skip or keep your existing brush

Consider the Mini-Mag if nylon bristles suit your clubmaker's instructions and its detachable carry arrangement solves an access problem. Skip it if a suitable soft brush and towel already meet your needs, the attachment would be awkward, or a delicate finish needs another method.

Replace a worn brush when its condition no longer meets your cleaning needs, not because a new brush promises more spin or lower scores. No cleaning, scratch, durability or magnetic-retention testing was performed here.

Before ordering, write down your club models and finish-care instructions, the area you need to reach, the attachment point you intend to use, and the reason your existing brush is insufficient. If you cannot name a practical gap, keep using it.

Does the Mini-Mag have metal bristles?

Callaway describes nylon bristles. This does not prove suitability for every finish; check the current instructions for your own clubs.

Will the magnet prevent losing the brush?

The quick-release magnetic connection is a stated feature, not a retention guarantee. We have not tested the magnet or clip in use.

Can I compare reach from the listed dimensions?

Not reliably from the checked pages. The maker does not give exact brush dimensions and the retailer's item/package measurements are not used as a working-reach claim.
